2018 SHS Golf Scramble PACKET EMAIL

Dear Seminole High School Family,

As we wall know the conditions of our athletic fields is not up to the standard that it needs to be. With the amount of events and championship teams that are playing and practicing on our grounds we all need to join together to make these improvements. Our first opportunity to do so will take place this spring

What: SHS Boosters Golf Scramble at Red Tail Golf Course in Sorrento, FL

When: Friday May 11th, 2018

Time: Registration begins at 11:00am and start at 12;30 pm.

Cost: $425 for a foursome, $250 for hole sponsor/1 golfer, and $125 for a single golfer.

Why: All proceeds will go towards game and practice field renovations and equipment needed to properly maintain the fields going forward.

Seminoles News · Boys Hoops Round-Up

The boys basketball team finished an undefeated week with a 69-63 district victory over University Orange City. They improved their record to 16-3 and 9-1 in the district. The Noles have a big week as they take on district foes Winter Springs on Wednesday at Winter Springs and back home for a game against Lyman.

The boys freshmen team took home 1st place at their tournament on Saturday!

Seminoles News · Girls Basketball Moves Up the District Standings!

The Lady Noles went over to Lake Mary and defeated the Rams to move into a tie for the #1 seed in the district! The Lady Noles were led by Morgan Dillard and Diamond Gainey as they each scored 11 points. Makyla Daniels and Malia Gable were strong on defense helping to hold the Rams to only 35 points for the game.

Tryouts for the 2018-2019 Cheer Team will take place

April 23rd to April 27th, 2018 from 2:30 to 5:00.

You must have a current physical packet on file before tryouts begin. Please see Ms. Amanda in the Athletics office in the main admin building if you have any questions.

Come out to Seminole High School this Friday to support your Noles as they take on the Rams. Game starts at 7:00pm

Tickets will be on sale Thursday and Friday during both lunches in the cafeteria. Adult tickets are $5.00 and students are $3.00.

Tickets will also be on sale in the athletics office (main admin building).

Program Details

When: July 2018

Where: Washington D.C.

What:  Athletes will win an all-expense paid trip to attend the four-day Battles Won Academy in Washington D.C. Their experience will include daily workouts, an immersive Marine Corps experience on base in Quantico, a community service event, a tour of our Nation’s Capital and networking opportunities with our nation’s civic, athletic and military leaders. Additionally, 2018 Semper Fidelis All-Americans are automatically eligible for exclusive scholarship opportunities and are permitted to invite a mentor of their choosing to attend the event alongside them.

Who is eligible?

Students will be selected for the program based on moral character and academic performance in addition to athletic abilities. Most critically, nominees must demonstrate a fighting spirit that improves the lives of their fellow citizens.

Eligible applicants must be a Junior in high school playing a competitive team sport. Visit the website to learn more about eligibility.

Seminoles News · SHS Athletics: Time to make the facility improvements!

To All,

There will be a booster club meeting this Tuesday December 12th at 6:00pm in the Principal’s Conference Room. We will be discussing our upcoming fundraisers aimed at  re-sodding our practice fields and our game field. In addition we will be working towards installing new scoreboards to softball field, baseball field, and our main stadium fields.

We have the greatest sports tradition in Seminole County and we need all help to make sure we provide a safe and welcoming facility to our student-athletes in order to continue to build this tradition.
